We used a lighter weight (60 weight) thread on the eyes for finer detail.

Once upon a time there was a famine that lasted months and months and months. In the land there was a family that consisted of a father, his second wife, and his two children. The stepmother was an uncaring sort of woman. With the famine staying so long, she came up with an idea to rid herself of what she thought as "the irksome children."
