To make a coaster out of this design, follow the following steps:
After the first stop, slide a piece
of white felt UNDERNEATH the hoop, big enough to cover the design and continue sewing.
After the second stop, take out the
hoop and cut away the felt around the design, closely to the scalops. Put the hoop back on
the machine and finish the design. Then wash away the soluble material and let dry on a flat
surface. You may also iron the design.
Picture above shows background fabric; white areas will not be sewn.
