These designs are freestanding lace designs. They should be sewn on water soluble stabilizer. We recommend two or three layers of a stabilizer such as Hemingworth's Hot Water Soluble Washaway or Floriani's Water Soluble Tearaway. We explicitly do NOT recommend the use of a plastic-like material. We also prefer the use of polyester and metallic thread for embroidering lace. Rinse in warm water (or as instructed on product packaging) and let it dry on a flat surface.

Always buy these designs and make several each year for gifts. I wish she wouldn't wait until November to release them. I like to get started on things like this early so I have plenty of time to make a lot.
