After a hundred years the son of the King then reigning, who was of another family from that of the sleeping princess, was a-hunting on that side of the country. When he heard there was a castle with a beautiful sleeping princess, his desire for love and glory made him hasten to the palace. As he walked up to the castle, the trees and briars parted to let him pass through.
He made his way through the sleeping kingdom until he saw upon a bed the most beautiful sight ever beheld--a princess with bright and resplendent beauty. He approached her with trembling and admiration, and fell down before her. She awoke, and the kingdom with her. They were married in the chapel of the castle and they lived happily ever after.
