Hi
I suggest using embroidery software to print an actual-size template of the embroidery design, with its center starting point marked, to help you with alignment. Also, marking the hoop (with a wax marker) where the design stitched before un-hooping will help you when you hoop it for the second sewing.
This design does not have alignment marks included. If you have embroidery software, such as Embrilliance Essentials, you can add alignment marks. That would also help. An alignment is a small shape like a plus or an x at the corners or top and bottom of a design. It stitches first and last, so that when you are ready to stitch the next piece, the alignment stitch will tell you whether your hooping is in the right place, before you have stitched anything else.
Lindee Goodall has a good blog on aligning continuous designs:

If you are up for taking a class on the subject, I highly recommend Bobbi Bullard's Craftsy class on Continuous Line Embroidery.

Hi,
I purchased the above design to make continuous lace for a top and having difficulty lining up the design. Can you give me some pointers as to how best to align the design for continuous lace?
Thank you in advance
Linda
