Planter's Flower Pot Tutorial

The Planter's Flower Pot is not only fully functional - you can nurture live plants in it - but it's also fully customizable. Add painted or embroidered artwork, protected from water and soil by a plastic sheath. This tutorial shows you exactly how it works.

The Planter's Flower Pot comes with a template insert. To use it, simply lift the pot by the lip, to release the clear outer plastic shell.

Now you can trace the template onto your art paper or stitchable paper, like the Kiwi paper being used in this demonstration.

Draw, paint, or embroider your artwork onto the paper insert you've made. For detailed instructions on stitching paper, see our technique video on paper and embroidery.

Next, wrap the decorated paper around the pot and slide the pot back inside the clear plastic outer shell. Your customized Planter's Flower Pot is ready to plant. Use it for live plants, dry arrangements, topiaries, and craft projects.
