Will I be charged if I download a design more than once?

No. Your purchased designs are stored in your download center, and you may re-download them as many times as you'd like in any available format. No extra charge.

I don't even know if I have the right website, but I purchased 2 memberships "The old Design Club Membership and the Supersized Gold Design Club. Both were purchased this past February. As you might imagine, I don't embroidery every week even and I forgot I ordered these until I ran across my order sheet. (Shame on me, it was a lot of money) With all that said, I can't figure out where to find the place to see the designs in order to pick a design. Can you help? Thanks so much.

Hi, Jan. We're very sorry but those clubs are NOT Embroidery.com clubs and the club names aren't ringing any bells. If possible, I would recommend tracking down the record of your original purchases to find the company that you ordered from. Best regards!

Hi Irene! Maybe the following steps will help you, if downloading is part of the issue. These steps are for downloading one design at a time. If you want more than one at a time, the delivered designs will be zipped, which adds a step to the process, so I might suggest starting with one design. I encourage you to call as well. We generally have great success walking through the process with our customers.

When you have ordered a design or group of designs at Embroidery.com, you can download them.

Go to your name at the top right corner of the site, hover over it, and you will see a list of options. Click on "My Designs"

This will show you pictures of your ordered designs. Click on the words “Details/Download” below the one you are interested in downloading.

This replaces your view with the details of your chosen design.

A list of available formats is shown. Click on the format you are wishing to download. It will immediately be downloaded.

Since you are using the Firefox browser, look in the upper right corner. New downloads are shown by a blue arrow. Once you click the arrow to see your downloads, the arrow turns white.

From here, you can click the file name to open the file in your embroidery software (provided your computer has software and has associated that software with this embroidery file type).

Or, click the folder icon to show the design in the folder where it was downloaded.

Once you have your eyes on the file, the time comes to open it or send it to your machine. To send the design to a USB stick for your machine, here is a helpful video:

Often, downloaded files come zipped together. This is particularly the case when you have more than one design or more than one format that has been downloaded. This video shows you how to unzip the design files and send them to your USB for use on your embroidery machine. If you chose only one design to download, you may skip to step 10.

This video and steps provided illustration process in Windows 10:

  1. At the bottom of your screen, click the file folder icon. This opens your File Explorer window.
  2. On the left side of the window is a menu. Find "Downloads" there, and click on it..
  3. Now find the embroidery download. If it is a zipped file, it will have a zipper icon on it. If it is not zipped, skip to step 9.
  4. Click on the zipped folder. Then at the top of your window, click "Extract"
  5. A little to the right and lower down, click "Extract all"
  6. This brings up an option for you to select the destination for your unzipped files. Your computer can extract these files to your preferred location. If there is a particular folder where you usually keep your embroidery designs, you can navigate to that folder here in this window, and the computer will save those unzipped files into that folder. In this video, the designs are being extracted into the downloads folder.
  7. Once the files are extracted, go to the folder where you extracted them.
  8. Often the files are organized into folders. In this video, the design files are organized by format.
  9. Open one of the folders to see the unzipped design files.
  10. To select all of the design files, click the top one, press and hold the shift key, and click the bottom file. That selects all of the design files.
  11. To select just a few, click one that you want, press and hold the shift key, and click the next one. Repeat for as many as you want to select.
  12. Insert your USB stick, if you haven't already.
  13. On the left side menu of your File Explorer window, you can see your USB stick.
  14. With the right mouse button, click on one of your selected files, and drag them over to the USB stick, and release the mouse button. All of the selected files will be saved to your USB.
  15. You can click on the USB drive to view and verify that the files have been copied there.
  16. In the lower right part of your screen, find a caret button, it looks like this: ^ Click that to find the "safely eject" option for your USB.
  17. Eject the USB stick, and you can insert it into your embroidery machine.

The illustrated steps below can be used in place of steps 12-17 above.

  1. If your design is in your "downloads" folder, you can open the downloads folder and use the copy function to move it to your USB. Highlight your design, as shown, then click the "copy to" button at the top.

  2. When you click "copy to" you get a list of options. If you don't see your usb in the list, click "choose location" at the bottom of the list. This opens a new window. Scroll down until you see "This PC" and the list of drives on it. Below,my USB is drive G. I highlight it (in blue) and click "copy."

  3. Then it will copy your file to the USB drive.
  4. In the lower right part of your screen, find a caret button, it looks like this: ^ Click that to find the "safely eject" option for your USB.
  5. Eject the USB stick, and you can insert it into your embroidery machine.

I bought the embrilliance essentials software. How do I proceed now? Can I edit with this software? Really, I need to start from the beginning.

Thanks, Mary

Hi, Mary. I recommend signing up for our free "Essentials" software learning course. To do so, click on the orange "subscribe" button on the following page:

https://www.embroidery.com/Learn-Embrilliance.ec

You'll receive one email per day until you have the full course and by the end you will equipped with all the basics of Essentials.

Essentials is not digitizing software but it does have some great capabilities.

How can I check to see what my download history is? I don't want to order something I might already own.

Thanks for the question, Winifred. You can check your previously ordered designs by logging in and then clicking on "Hello Winifred" at the top, right of the page, then click on "Order History", or click on "Account Options" and then on "Account Ledger".
