Most of us have a desk in our lives, whether it be at the office, in the classroom, or at home, and often the desk itself gets ignored because of the chores to be done there. So how about a "make-over" for that desk, which might just make the time spent there more pleasurable? It's worth a try!!!

This design set consists of four different desk accessories--a desk pad, a mouse pad, a pencil holder, and a paper holder. All four are done in the hoop, with the two holders requiring a bit of machine-sewing for final assembly. The mouse pad features a no-slide back surface, and the other three feature quilting, completed in the hoop, and batting for a "class act" feel. All four also have an inner stiffener for stability and rich satin outer edges.

The holders are done in the 4x4 hoop, the mouse pad requires an 8" x 6" embroidery field, and the blotter requires a 12" x 4" field. By using fun fabrics for the pieces and their linings, the lowly desk can become a reflection of your interests or "inner self" or a perfect match for the desk's surrounding decor, but there is a warning that comes with this set: your colleagues WILL want a set, too!
