I have used a traditional perpetual calendar for several years, and I think part of its name indicates the fact that I am perpetually having to rearrange the wooden tiles to reflect the new month )o; But when I recently saw a clever style of perpetual calendar while shopping, I knew the problem was solved, and here, in time for the new year, is my rendition...Just for TODAY.

This totally-in-the-hoop project consists of 6 design files, 2 pairs of which form the outer wheels, the 5th forming the innermost wheel, and the 6th forming the arrow. (Largest piece fits in a 6" x 10.25" hoop.) All feature front and back fabrics, dense inner fleece batting, and firm fusible interfacing, as well as striking fonts. The completed pieces are threaded onto a brad through their digitized eyelets, and at that point you can hang the calendar from its upper eyelet or thread a hanger through the eyelet.

Each new day is easily indicated with a simple rotation of the month and day-of-the-week dials and the arrow. Bottom line? You'll always know what day it is, and you won't waste time each month resetting those tiles--more sewing time!!!! Happy New Year! For inspiration, visit our PJ Designs Finish Gallery.

Jackie-sews.....this is very exciting. I've been trying to figure out a perpetual calendar for a long time. This is absolutely perfect. Any restrictions on selling the finished product. I won't be mass producing, I'm a small home business.
