The first stitch line of this design is the basting line (which can be removed later) This is the line where you will place the folded pressed edge of the fabric you are using for the stocking applique. After the stitching is completed... I placed a small piece of cardboard in the stocking and used fabric glue to attach the eyelet trim, faux fur and pre-made rose. You can decorate any way you choose. The finished stocking will be completely fillable, with little treats, etc.
