Tip & Techniques working with metallic floss - Thread Heaven Product Demo

Working with metallic thread can be challenging. It likes to keep its shape and the swirls and bends from being on a spool or card.

Metallic floss is made up of many different fibers to create it and they all want to go there own way.

So Tips on how to use Metallic Floss in your stitching.

Tip one I will use a shorter length. Between 12” and 18” this helps reduces wear on the thread keeping it nice and shinny for your stitching.

Tip two using a thread conditioner like Thread Magic makes working with metallic floss so much nicer.

Simply place the metallic floss through the waxy conditioner and slide it through. Making sure you get both ends.

I will slide my finger over the floss to remove any excess.

Now the metallic floss has the thread conditioner helping keep all of the elements that make it up together, making it so much easier to work with. Improvising the thread drag and hand fatigue as well. It also helps prevent tangles and fraying.

So when working with metallic a thread conditioner like Thread Magic is a must!

Thread Magic is also safe to use on all other hand embroidery floss as well. You can also use it with your sewing machine thread.

So next time your floss being hard to work with try some Thread Magic Thread Conditioner.
