Our E-Z Stitch Side Bars, in conjunction with E-Z Stitch Scroll Rods, and allow you to size your Scroll Frame to any project size you desire. Increasing the length of the Side Bars will increase the vertical height of your stitching field. The E-Z Stitch Side Bars are compatible with any E-Z Stitch Scroll Rod pair.

E-Z Stitch Side Bars are available in the following lengths: 6", 8", 10", 12" and 16." Side Bars 12” & 16” have holes every 2” giving your lots of different vertical height options.

The length of the Side Bar refers the holes on either end of the bar, the bar itself will be a bit longer then this measurement. For example, an 8" Side Bar has a 9 1/2" total length. Side Bars are made from solid American Red Oak and are finished with natural oak stain.

The Side Bar measurement is from hole to hole so the whole Side Bar is longer then that measurement.

Hi I just got my 20 inch scroll bar and was wondering what size side bars i would need thank you.

Thanks for the question, Janet. Our 20 inch frame set comes with 8" side bars, so those would be what we would recommend if you need a suggestion, but other sizes will work, depending on your personal preference.

Are these side bar can be use with your floor stand? And what size side bar for 46” and 48” rods? Thanks

yes all of our EZ Stitch Products all work together. We have 42"and 48" scroll rods. I would recommend the 8"or 10"side bars for rods that long.

Sunshine

Good Morning: Yesterday I received the EZ scroll rods and tape; I am so excited to have rods that will provide the right tension I need!! However, I found the side bars I purchased in the 90's, do not fit the EZ scroll rods and do not allow any tightening. Before I place another order, I have some questions.

1. Are there washers I should purchase to place on end of the rods to prevent indentations in the side bars?

2. I want to purchase the metal tightening knobs and need to know if it would be more effective to use the metal knobs for both rods (top and bottom) or use the metal on the top rod and the wood on the bottom.

3. While reading the rod description, I saw the term, "metal hanger bars". I'm not familiar with this type of bar and need to know if it an important product I should have to make my stitching more efficient.

Thank you for your assistance, great products, tutorials, and exception customer service. I look forward to learning more of your products. Have a Blessed Easter.

Hi Sunshine

1 No a washer is not necessary on either side of the scroll rod. (however if you feel like you get better tension then go for it) The only place I've ever used a washer is when using the Lap Stand. After years (20+) of use the screw that goes through the sidebar to attach to the leg had indention so I put one there.

2 I like using the metal knobs in all 4 locations I feel like they give me much tighter tension when scrolling up my frame.

3 The term "metal hanger bars" refers to the screw coming out of the scroll rod.

I hope this helps let me know if you have any other questions. Happy Easter

Roxanna H.

Hi, would there be a problem using these with the larger Scroll Rods (24" and 30")?

Heather B.

Hi, Roxanna. Thanks for the question. Yes, these side bars can work great with the larger (24" and 30") scroll rods. For that size, we would recommend choosing 8" or 10" sidebars. Please let us know if you have further questions.

I have some beading to do, it will be nice not to have to roll the project to add the beads. Thanks for your fast reply.
