PRIMARY, from HEMINGWORTH ESSENTIALS
The first box in this collection, PRIMARY, provides the basic colors to stitch any project. You will find standard red, yellow, blue, orange, green, and violet colors in this collection, as well as pastels, and basic black, white and neutrals. PRIMARY has all the colors you need in a well-rounded thread starter set!
Spools come in a plastic-coated, white cardboard box with a magnetic closure clip. Spools sit in individual molded compartments for easy access. The inside cover has a color picture of each thread spool, indicating which space to store the spool. The box is ideal for permanent storage. Each Hemingworth thread spool comes with the spool, cap and stopper system and contains 1000 meters of 40 wt, polyselect, high-sheen embroidery thread.
Hemingworth thread is 100% colorfast, soft and supple, with superb stitching results. This amazing thread is known for its durability and strength as well as its brilliant luster. It is suitable for home and commercial embroidery machines, sewing machines and quilting machines. Hemingworth thread is ideal for digitized embroidery designs and built-in decorative machine stitches.

This collection of colors is designed to give you a 32-spool starter set of the most common colors, and two additional 32-spool sets to expand and broaden your basic colors into subtle and rich new hues and shades. Each ESSENTIALS box provides a wide spectrum of colors with variations of reds, yellows, greens, blues, orange, violets and neutrals and can stand alone. Together, the three box collection will give you a broad selection of colors that will meet all your color needs!
*Thread colors in the Hemingworth ESSENTIALS collection are not duplicated in the other two ESSENTIALS boxes. Each box contains 32 unique spool colors. Collect all three for a well-rounded color palette!
*Additionally, The SEASONS and ESSENTIALS collections are also designed to avoid overlapping colors, except for the most basic colors. Embroiderers can collect all 7 boxes from these two collections and have over 215 unique Hemingworth colors!

I was wondering if someone could help me in regard to the sheen on this thread vs the sheen on rayon thread. Unfortunately the person who took my call was less than helpful and couldn't seem to get me off the phone fast enough.
Rayon thread is not color fast. I think it's pretty but will not use it. I've been doing this for 16 years and own a small embroidery business. Hope this helps. Marth
In my opinion, Hemingworth has even a touch more shine than any rayons I have seen.
Hemingworth thread is made from a trilobal polyester fiber which has a vibrant natural sheen. Within the last 10 years, the use trilobal poly has surpassed rayon as the preferred thread. The trilobal poly fiber provides a similar sheen to Rayon plus several other benefits, including color fastness, strength, and stretch.
LOVE the first 32 colors in the Primary set! Have used them for FSL and starts on my Holiday mini-gifts. Since I'm new to your brand, is there an affinity club or other way to get points, credit, etc., to make collecting all three Essentials a bit less expensive? Please don't be offended; I am retired now and need to watch my pennies. At the same time I now have time to sew, embroider, quilt, and use LOTS of your beautiful thread! Thanks for making such wonderful trilobal polyesters available for my projects!
