A fleece remnant of 63 inch length and 10 inch width was used for this scarf. Save space for the scarf fringe, approximately 3.5" from lengthwise bottom.

Fold fabric in half to find the widthwise centerpoint, and mark placement for your embroidery design, taking fringe space into account. Shown here, the design center 7" from bottom.

Hoop three layers together: a topping-weight stabilizer over the fleece and a backing-weight water soluble stabilizer under it.

After your embroidery is finished, remove the topping and backing. Lightly misting with water will help

Now cut the fringe. In this example, each column was cut three inches long and half an inch wide.
