For a Football Fan
I am working my way through your email Stitch Artist course (Day 11) whilst also playing myself. I have made and deleted numerous attempts but finally got round to stitching one out as it was requested by a friend (football fan!). Was 168000 stitches but I have managed to trim down to 122000. I now need to deal with some registration errors and also try to understand why combining a hole into a filled object actually increases the number of stitches. It was mainly done using SA1 although I did upgrade to SA2 part way through.
Here's my guess. When you create a hole in a fill, you create a bunch of smaller stitches where the hole hits, and maybe this increases the number of stitches overall, depending on the size and complexity of the shape of the hole and the size of the fill to begin with.

I love your art work for football fan, it is alot of stitches to use for the design although i know brother machine would work much better.
