Raw Edge Applique

Emily demonstrates Raw Edge Applique; how it differs from other applique techniques, and shows tips and recommended products for making raw edge applique beautiful.

Cutting tips:
1. use snips or duckbill scissors from the Kimberbell Deluxe Scissor Set
2. lift the edge 90 degrees for a clean cut
3. for a curved edge make a continuous cut rather than lots of small cuts
4. use fray check/fray block to keep fraying from going too far with a fraying fabric such as velveteen
5. Terial Magic is a heavy starch that will also reduce fraying

Emily is demonstrating with designs from the Curated Home for the Holidays, and also shows the Felt Zipper Pouch and Keepsake Clasp Purse and Kimberbell Embroidery Leather.
