Lace Jewelry Ideas

Lace Jewelry is the simplest way to create wearable lace. It's also the perfect way to get the young ones interested in embroidery. The designs and construction are quick and easy! Here are some ideas to help get you started.

 1:

For bobby pins, we recommend pins with large knobs on the end. The Lace Jewelry design pack by Anita Goodesign includes lace charms that work great on bobby pins.

 2:

Embroider your lace designs on water soluble stabilizer like Hemingworth's Hot Water Wash Away. Once the embroidery is done, dissolve the stabilizer, let the lace dry, and press it. Use jewel glue to affix the finished lace onto the bobby pin knob.

 3:

You can also attach barette cover designs to the tops of combs.

 4:

By repeating the "Two Flowers Barrette Cover" (Hdlj17) four times, we were able to cover a soft headband. We hand-stitched the lace directly onto the headband with a matching thread and added hotfix crystals to the center of each flower.

 5:

Now that you get the idea, you can also use the small lace designs to glue or stitch onto items like shoes, hats, candles or any other object that you normally wouldn't be able to embroider. We hope that you and your family will have fun creating many different projects.
