How to use Sticky Hoop
Remove the protective paper from the Peel 'n Stick adhesive stabilizer. Place the metal frame, wrong side up and finger press the sticky side of the stabilizer to the wrong side of the metal frame. Turn the hoop right side up.
Place your item on the adhesive stabilizer, attach the frame to the machine and stitch the design.
Designed for Ease
Sticky Hoop comes with a metal bottom frame. The bottom frame includes a machine attachment that is recognized by the embroidery machine.
Snap Hoop Monster Owners - Please Note
The Sticky Hoop frame and Snap Hoop Monster frames are not interchangeable. Each has been designed to perform its intended task efficiently and smoothly. Applying adhesive to the bottom of Snap Hoop Monster will remove the hoop’s ability to glide effortlessly across the machine bed. Conversely, The Sticky Hoop frame should ONLY be used with adhesive applied to the back of the frame.
Sticky hoops were made for sticky stabilizer, imagine that! You can re-use and layer the sticky stabilizer. You can save your other hoops from sticky residue. Sticky hoops make floating quick, easy, effective. You'll love them.

You have not used this for flannel blocks for a quilt. Flannel will leave fuzz on the stabilizer and you might be lucky to stick 2 blocks to hold. I have the 5x7 and am not really impressed with the results. For the price of the hoop you should have the marks already on it. Just my opinion.
Thank you for those notes, Dee. We'll pass them on to the manufacturer. If you haven't, yet, maybe try a less fuzzy fabric than the flannel with the Sticky Hoop. Your results may be more impressive. For flannel quilts, I suggest the magnetic hoops instead.
Is this 7x12 Sticky Hoop frame compatible with my Brother Dream Creator VM5100

I recently purchased and received Sticky Hoop 5"x7" SHMI with the understanding (from a young lady at (435) 755-0486) that this hoop works with/is compatible with the PE800 Embroidery machine. Upon looking, looking andd looking again I cannot see how this hoop connects to my PE800. So I have put in a request to return the hoop. Upon further searching of your site I found the Sticky Hoop - Babylock /Brother / LS6 5" x 7" (Clamp Down) . Will this hoop work with the PE800? And if it does, can I return the SHM1 I have and exchange it for the LS6?
Hi Sandra,
Yes, I talked to you on the phone about the sticky hoop for your PE800. I will send you some information through email, please look for an email from [email protected]. Thanks!
Will this hoop work with the brother Luminaire ? I understand it takes the same hoops as the brother dream creator and dream machine ?
Hi, Paulette. The Luminaire 1 is compatible with several sizes of the Snap Hoop Monster. The Luminaire 2 is compatible with just one of the snap hoops. Here's a link to a list of the compatible hoops:
Luminaire 1 compatibility:

Luminaire 2 compatibility:

I got the Sticky Hoop 5” X 7” for Christmas. While trying to figure out how to attach the hoop, I noticed that the baby lock “ellure plus” was not listed as Sticky Hoop ready. Help! Am I going to have to return??
Hi, Cathy. If you need to arrange a return, please send your request to [email protected]. We're sorry that the hoop is not compatible with your machine.

Hi Cathy, I am sorry to say so. The Sticky Hoop works with a specific list of Babylock machines so far.
It is my understanding that compatibility for more machines is planned, but not yet available.
I bought this and it works as advertised -- but, it leaves a sticky residue on the back of the hoop when I pull the stabilizer off. I needed "goo gone" to clean the hoop both times I used it.
That is disappointing since it really did help to position the garment I was applying the embroidery on. I would use it for all my work if not for the difficult cleanup.
Hi Mary,
It is recommended that you don't remove all of the stabilizer each time you use it. Just tear the part that you would remove from the fabric, and then patch that area. It's a bit of a shift in thinking, since we are accustomed to removing stabilizer after stitching!
This way, you can re-use the stabilizer many times, which saves you money. It will also save you on goo gone. Here's a video where Eileen explains how it works for her:
any videos to show how the sticky hoop works?
Hi Linda, Yes! There is a video now. The first part of this video, is all about the sticky hoop:

How does the sticky attach to my Ellisomo?
Darline,
In the picture above, you can see the attachment mechanism, where the hoop attaches to your machine. When you use the sticky hoop, you take off your regular hoop and use the sticky hoop instead.
so it will just slide in like the hoops that came with the machine?
Hi Linda, Yes, that's the idea. In this video, you can see Eileen handle the hoop, though I don't think she puts it on the machine, unfortunately.

Hi, Darline. The sticky part will be applied to the back of the hoop, Darline. Once your item is hooped, you will hoop in similiar to your normal hooping process. I hope that helps.
