Reason #3: Personalize it

Many embroidery machines are almost like computers, themselves.  If you're wondering if computer embroidery software could help you, I have a series of reasons you might like to consider, and this is the third in the series.

With embroidery software on your computer, you can change designs in a host of ways.  The number one reason for having an embroidery machine in the first place -- is to personalize -- create something new that you can’t just buy off the shelf.  You can add interest and a personal twist to premade items or even start from scratch.

Embroidery software extends the possibility of creative personalization, by allowing you to change not only what you stitch on, but what you stitch on it.  One of the top ways to personalize a design is to add your own lettering: names, dates, inside jokes and friendly sayings, to name a few ideas.

Most embroidery machines do have some on-board lettering, and for some applications, that is enough.  If we’re talking creativity though (we are), software extends that by letting you really branch out in terms of style as well as content.  You have access to virtually unlimited fonts, some for pay, some for free, and you have a lot of control over the spacing and shape of the lettering that you eventually use.
