This design can be used as an appliqué, as shown in our sample. The teardrop background area in our sample is covered with appliquéd fabric. The appliqué mark and tackdown are not separate color stops. In order to do appliqué on the teardrops, you may need to stop your machine manually. At the end of color stop three, the design marks where the fabric is to be laid. The first part of color stop four is a tack down, following which the border is sewn.
