FSL Chapel Sun - Machine Embroidery Freestanding Lace design in two sizes: for 4"x4" and 5"x7" hoops. Created by ArtEmbroidery. Designs will perfect for Christmas ornaments, home decor, handmade greetings cards and religious projects.

Free Standing lace, as the name implies, is a lace that you don't have to stitch on other fabric.

Instructions:

For stitching FSL designs you, need will need water-soluble stabilizer. (I've found the ones that look like fabric to be the best, not the transparent/film style stabilizers). For best results, use 2 layers of stabilizer and hoop them very tight.

Stitch it as a regular design. If lace is to be seen from both sides, use matching bobbin thread. After stitching, remove embroidery from hoop. Cut excess stabilizer all around the embroidery. Wash embroidery in warm water. Let dry and then iron (if necessary).
