EZ Stitch Floor Stand Assembly Instruction Video

The EZ Stitch Floor Stand Includes:

2 Legs with 18” of adjustable Arm & Elbow locations

2 Top and Bottom Cross Bars that can expand the Floor Stand from 24” to 48”

2 Feet & Ankles with 4 different foot placement options

2 Arms & Elbows with 12” of adjustable positions

2 Side Bars 10"

2 Scroll Rods 30” with EZ Stitch Tape

1 roll of EZ Stitch Tape for Fabric

32 Knobs

8 Screws H 2.5”

2 Screws I 3”

2 Screws J 3.5”

4 Philips Head Screws K 1.5”

2 Philips Head Screws L 2”

Legs

Notice on the legs that on one side of each leg at the top and bottom are either 1 hole or 2 holes. The 2 hole side of each of the Legs is where the Cross Braces will attach.

Position the legs so the side with the 2 holes is facing towards each other. (That will make it so on the Right Side leg, the holes will be in the forward position and on the Left Side leg, the holes will be in a back position.)

Foot & Ankle

There are 3 holes with inserts on the feet, this is for different foot and ankle placement. The outside of the foot is where the inserts are inset into the wood. The inside of the foot is where the inserts are on the surface of the wood.

Step 1) Attach Foot to Leg

Standard foot and ankle placement. The foot is placed on the inside of the leg with the screw inserts side of the foot facing inside. Foot is secured to leg using 1 of screw K.

Step 2) Attach Ankle to Leg

The ankle is placed on the outside of the leg (with the block end facing down toward the foot) and is secured using 1 of screw K.

Step 3) Attach Ankle to Foot

Place the block end of the ankle on the foot and secure using 1 of screw L.

Now that you’ve mastered the standard foot and ankle placement, let's try some other positions and find what works for you. Note: Both feet don't have to be in the same position-- they could be in two different positions and your frame would still be stable.

Position 1

Attach the foot to leg in the first hole (which is 5 inches from the end of the foot), then attach the block end of the ankle to the middle hole. You would use this position for a recliner or a couch where there was not a lot of space underneath.

Position 2 (Standard)

Attach the foot to the leg in the second hole. Now you can position the ankle forward in hole 1 or behind in hole 3. Again, this depends on how far under the couch or recliner you need the floor stand to slide.

Position 3

Attach the foot to the leg in the third hole, with the block end of the ankle forward in hole 2. This is the position you would put the foot if you have lots of space under the couch.

Knob Tip: From this point forward, you will be using a screw and 2 knobs to attach each piece together. Make sure you turn the knobs together equally. This will prevent the the screw from pushing the knob off of the insert.

Step 4) Attach Cross Braces to Cross Braces

Each cross brace has a screw and a small dowel on one end. This end will go into the two top and bottom holes on each of the legs.

Position the cross braces together so that the cross brace with the screw on the right side is in front position and the cross brace with the screw on the left is in the behind position.

Attach the cross braces together using 2 of screw H and securing with 4 knobs, attaching at the furthest points from each other.

Step 5) Cross Brace to Leg

The cross braces are positioned into the leg with the screw going through the leg and the dowel going into the second hole. Secure cross braces to the leg using a single knobs on each end.

Do this for the Cross Braces at the top and bottom of each leg. Now the Floor Stand is able to stand on it own.

Additional Feature

Each arm has a grove running along the length, along with two holes in the block end. This grove is the perfect place to slide floss bobbins in while you are stitching. The holes in the block end are a convenient place for scissors, tweezers or even a highlighter.

Step 6) Attach Arm to the Leg

The arm is placed on the inside of the legs (with the grove and holes facing upward) using 1 of screw H and secured with 2 knobs.

The arms and elbows have adjustable locations for placement, depending on how far forward you would like your scroll frame to come toward you while stitching.

Step 7) Attach Elbow to Leg

The elbows are placed on the outside of the leg using 1 of screw H and secured with 2 knobs.

Step 8) Attach Elbow to Arm

Place the block end of the elbow to the arm and, using 1 of screw H, secure with 2 knobs.

Notice that there are several positions that the arms and elbows can be positioned.

Step 9) Attach scroll frame to arm

Place the side bars on the inside of the arms at the middle hole of the side bars. Attach using 1 of screw I and secure with 2 knobs.

Attach fabric and you are ready to begin your new project!!!

Hi Olena,

Thank you for reaching out with your question! It looks like the smallest size this stand will accommodate is 24" rods. The stand itself comes with 30" scroll rods. If you decided to purchase it and wanted us to swap out the size that we send then we could do that. Just send us a message at [email protected] if you decide that is what you want to do. I hope this information helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions and have a great day!
