Hi, Debora.
Thanks for the question. Embroidering with metallic threads can be tricky. Here's some tips:
1) Slow down you machine. (350-400 stitch per minute is recommended.)
2) Use a thread stand, such as this one.
3) Watch your design density. Metallics sew better with less dense designs.
4) Check the thread path to make sure it is clear with no thread stuck there. Also check the bobbin for debris and adjust the bobbin and top thread tension.
5) Finally, make sure your thread is not old. Metallic threads age quickly, so newer thread is highly recommend.
I hope this helps!

I would like to use the metallic thread on my Bernina 880 and have not been able to get it to work. Do you have any suggestions? The thread breaks even with the tension lowered, which is what I do with other metallic threads. I've slowed the machine down, etc. I love the Hemingworth thread and would like to use the metallic.
