Using the Demonstration version of Embrilliance

Not sure which Embrilliance module you want? The demo version is a great way to find out. You can download it and try all the features of any combination of the programs, for as long as you would like to. This document shows you how, and includes a walk-through video.

1. Go to your embroidery.com account and in the "My Designs" area, search for "embrilliance". Any programs you have already purchased will appear. Click on one, and click the "download" link, and choose the "Looking for a Demo version?" link. Or go to https://embrilliance.com/demonstration-versions

2. Choose your download from the Windows or Mac options.

3. Click on your download to install the program.

4. Open "Embrilliance Demo" from your programs.

5. A list of checkboxes appears. Click the module(s) you would like to demo and open the program.

6. Use all the features, but remember -- this is a demo, and doesn't save files.

Have fun!

Hi,

I was just playing about with the Demonstration version and love it! Will I lose my design if I purchase the full version?

Hi Jagjit,

I'm afraid so. The full version is a completely different download from the demonstration version, so when you download the software, it won't see what you've done in the Demo version.

However, you can have both demo and full versions running on your machine at the same time, so since You can see what you've done, perhaps you can use both windows to duplicate your work in the full version, copying it manually from the demo version, step by step.

Hi, Melody. Welcome to the world of embroidery! If you have Essentials and your machine takes a flash drive/USB stick, you can use the following method to transfer your designs:

https://www.embroidery.com/help.ec?docID=2947

Otherwise, if you are ordering from Embroidery.com and wanting to download designs, you can use these instructions:

Download Instructions (single files):

1) Login at Embroidery.com.
2) Hover over "Hello [Your Name] (Account)" at the top of the page.
3) Click on "My Designs."
4) Click on the design you want to download.
5) Click on "Details/Download." You will see a list of files in various formats.
6) Right click on the file in your format and choose "Save Link As" or "Save Target As". Select your Flash Drive/USB Stick (or other location you'd like to save to) from the list. Click "Save." (If you're on a Mac, do this instead: click on the file in your format and then choose "save" or "okay" if prompted; otherwise, your file will automatically save to your computer. You'll need drag it from your computer and drop it onto your stick/thumb drive.)
7) Repeat for any additional designs.

Hi Kandie,

Which one to buy will depend on what you want to do.

The one that most beginners are interested in is Essentials.

Essentials: lets you edit stitch files: rotate, mirror, resize, add text, see a stitch simulation of your design.
Enthusiast: lets you edit individual stitches, arrange designs automatically in carousel, scatter, or frame, create new thread colors, create & add hoops, add knockdown stitch; it also enhances Essentials if you also have that module.

Best wishes. If there's something specific you want to do, and don't see that here, ask me about that, and I can tell you which module will best suit your needs.
