Let’s Learn Together: Embrilliance Essentials

For those of us ready to start using embroidery software, this is a half-month course for learning Embrilliance Essentials. Embrilliance is a great line of software for beginners because you can add on as you go. It’s great for advanced users because it has a full range of products, including digitizing software.

After the success of our online course for StitchArtist, we believe there is a place for a course on the basic software -- Embrilliance Essentials.

What is the cost?

It’s free.

Who can participate?

Anyone who owns Embrilliance Essentials (whether or not you purchased it from Embroidery.com) or has downloaded the demo. You can purchase a full functioning version of Embrilliance Essentials (with a 90 day money back guarantee) here.

Features

Let’s Learn this: 15 day schedule & study plan: Receive an email each day that covers a different feature of Essentials. The email will also contain links to helpful videos and provide answers to questions.
Discussion Forum and Gallery
: A place to ask questions, find answers, share experiences, or show off your creations. To post to the gallery, email your picture to kirsten@embroidery.com.

Videos: Original videos and videos suggested by class participants can be found here. You’ll be able to visually see demonstrations of topics and techniques covered by each day’s assignment. Includes a playlist of helpful videos arranged by topic, to match the lesson schedule.

I really need to start from the beginning next week, with hubby on home time from truck driving, and I can't fit it in is there a way I can start on the beginning after The 21st when he will be back on the road? This is so different from the Viking software, yet I have a feeling will be better. Also I will be funneling the designs to the Happy Voyager with USB link, and have to set that Happy Link up as well. At this point I am not going to add either of the Viking software I have on that computer, 4D Extra , and 5D Extra. I also have MONOGRAM WIZARD and Janome Digitizer MBthat will be on that computer, so question is can I then put those onto Embrilliance if I want to add other design aspects to it? I Purchased Embrilliance Essentials package and a Font package. Thanks in advance for any help. Cobi

Thanx for the lessons, I am up to 4 now, and am lovin this program. But I think I am doing something wrong, because when I put my curser on a color of the design (in the windo) it does not highlight on the design. What am I doing wrong? Please help me??? Hugs, Judy...

Hi Judy,

Thanks for your question. Make sure to click on the name of the item in the objects panel. If this doesn't work, perhaps your design has been grouped. To ungroup, click on the design in the main window. Then go to the edit menu and choose "ungroup."

I need help. I am wanting to but the Essentials software. I downloaded the Demo. I watch several YouTube video's, I have a Singer futura quartet xl 400 machine. It uses a USB connection to the computer. I just wanting to know how to send you designs to your machine with the Essentials software or what are the steps of doing this. I have watched videos but I have not seen one for my question. I am still a beginner.

Hi, Pamela. Thanks for writing. Your Singer should have come with software that will allow you to transfer designs to your machine via a USB cable connection. You'll want to use that software for transferring your designs to your machine.

This is embarrassing but in the last couple of years I have subscribed twice and never finished and now I have lost (with a computer crash again) May I have it resent please. Also I have only hit stitch artist 1 is it worth signing up for that course?

Hi Rhonda,

Thanks for the great questions. I have re-started the Embrilliance Essentials series for you today. You should get the first one in a couple of hours.
With regard to the course for StitchArtist - yes it would be worth signing up for that one as well. Most of the course is relevant, as most features are shared by the three levels.

There are several lessons near the end that are exclusively for level 3, and they are marked as such (so you can skip). Additionally, if you are interested in learning what is in those levels, this can be a good way to do it. You can even use the free demo version to follow along with the class if you wish, and see if any of these tools would be worth the expense for you.

One thing I do suggest is that you complete having the Essentials course emailed to you before signing up for the StitchArtist course. I've heard from a few people that the emails are sometimes not reliably getting to them when they subscribe concurrently to both.

Hi Donna,

I looked in the history and saw that the series finished sending to you in December. I'm wondering if any of them made it to you? I have re-started the emails this morning, so you should get one in a couple of hours (by 9:00 am MST). If it doesn't appear, will you let me know? Also, it might help to add kirsten@embroidery.com to your contacts. The email comes from that address, so it's like giving your inbox a heads-up that you want to receive things from me.

Hi, Sandi. For some reason your first lesson just went out today. Are you seeing it now? If it's not in your email inbox try checking around your email account to see if it got sidetracked somewhere, such as your spam or junk folder. Let me know if you still aren't seeing it after you check those places.
