Let’s Learn Together: Embrilliance Essentials

For those of us ready to start using embroidery software, this is a half-month course for learning Embrilliance Essentials. Embrilliance is a great line of software for beginners because you can add on as you go. It’s great for advanced users because it has a full range of products, including digitizing software.

After the success of our online course for StitchArtist, we believe there is a place for a course on the basic software -- Embrilliance Essentials.

What is the cost?

It’s free.

Who can participate?

Anyone who owns Embrilliance Essentials (whether or not you purchased it from Embroidery.com) or has downloaded the demo. You can purchase a full functioning version of Embrilliance Essentials (with a 90 day money back guarantee) here.

Features

Let’s Learn this: 15 day schedule & study plan: Receive an email each day that covers a different feature of Essentials. The email will also contain links to helpful videos and provide answers to questions.
Discussion Forum and Gallery
: A place to ask questions, find answers, share experiences, or show off your creations. To post to the gallery, email your picture to kirsten@embroidery.com.

Videos: Original videos and videos suggested by class participants can be found here. You’ll be able to visually see demonstrations of topics and techniques covered by each day’s assignment. Includes a playlist of helpful videos arranged by topic, to match the lesson schedule.

Do you have to watch the videos within a certain time frame?

Hi, Michelle. If you sign up for the learning course, you will receive 15 emails, one per day, until you have all 15 email lessons. It does includes some videos. The emails and videos do not expire. Thanks for the question.

Hi Kathleen,

I see that you signed up and that emails were sent in September. Sometimes they get directed to a spam filter or something, and you may never have seen them.

I've re-started the series for you. Do let me know if you don't have lesson #1 by tomorrow. And thanks for letting me know you were missing out!

Hi, Karol. My records show your first Essentials email lesson was sent yesterday, 9/30/2018. You may expect 1 per day until you complete the course. If you don't see the first lesson in your inbox, try checking other locations, such as your spam or junk folders. Please let us know how it goes.

Hi Rebecca, It's no trouble at all. Thank you for asking. I have had the series re-set so you should get #1 again this evening, and then the rest should follow, day by day.

Is there a way to copy the lessons to a USB stick?

Please Login to comment on this post.

Kirsten S.

Hi Shirley

Great question! There are ways to do that, depending on the email server and client. I have read that gmail does not let you do it, but emails can be saved to USB with Outlook, for example.

Here is how to do it with https://www.premiumusb.com/blog/save-emails-to-usb...Outlook:

Hi Shirley

I re-started the series for you tonight, so I believe you should receive lesson #1 tomorrow at about 2:00 p.m.

Thank you.. I have a question. How do you do a mirror image. I found the mirror x 4.. I’ve used Embrilliance for years and can’t figure it out.

Thanks, Shirle

Shirley, I think that's a common experience in software. Most of us are still learning things about software we use every day. Here is the link to a video that shows how to do a mirror image.

I would like to learn too please. Is it something we do at our own pace or is it every day

Please Login to comment on this post.

Thanks for the request, Donna. You have now been signed up. The course is emails that will read (including some videos that you can watch). You will get them daily, but since they are just emails, you can read them as quickly or as slowly as you desire. Your first email should arrive in the next 24 hours. Enjoy!

Kathleen,

Thanks for the question. Our intention is to let you have the lessons to keep. I know some email servers erase messages though.

I can re-start the series for you at any time, or send you any that you are missing. Do let me know if you would like certain ones, or the whole series.

I also update the lessons with links to the updated manual when changes come out; you might like to update occasionally.

I would like the Essentials lessons to learn that part first. I went to sign up for the email lessons and it says I am subscribed but I don't recall ever having received them, so I signed up again. Hope that is okay as I really want to learn this program and then afterward I would love to learn Stitch Artist. Thanks so much!

Hi Judy,

Yes, you bet. I checked, and see that #1 & 2 were sent to you on 6/22 and 6/23 respectively. I had them re-sent to your judywi1 address, just in case.

I really need to start from the beginning next week, with hubby on home time from truck driving, and I can't fit it in is there a way I can start on the beginning after The 21st when he will be back on the road? This is so different from the Viking software, yet I have a feeling will be better. Also I will be funneling the designs to the Happy Voyager with USB link, and have to set that Happy Link up as well. At this point I am not going to add either of the Viking software I have on that computer, 4D Extra , and 5D Extra. I also have MONOGRAM WIZARD and Janome Digitizer MBthat will be on that computer, so question is can I then put those onto Embrilliance if I want to add other design aspects to it? I Purchased Embrilliance Essentials package and a Font package. Thanks in advance for any help. Cobi

Hi Colbi Lee,

Thanks for the questions. You are welcome to begin your lessons at any time. The emails will come to you daily , each numbered in sequence, and you can decide when to view them. If you would rather have the series re-started after the 21st, let me know.

I hope you find the software to be all that you need, and easy to use as well.
With regard to your question about adding other programs -- I can say their tools can't be added to the Embrilliance window, but you can open one program and use it for what you need, save the file, and then open the other program and use it for the remaining steps with the design, and save it, and so forth.

Since you have Essentials, and fonts, you can bring in a digitized design (that you made in Janome Digitizer, for instance, or from another source) and then add lettering, size it, rotate, mirror, etc.) If you were to go with all Embrilliance products, such as using Embrilliance StitchArtist, rather than Janome Digitizer, then you would be able to create a design and add lettering and edits without opening different programs -- Embrilliance programs can all be added into the same window for convenient use.

I hope that addresses your questions. Please feel welcome to post follow-up questions.
