HELP! I merged 2 designs and "saved as work and stitch files". ran stitch simulator and all looked good. downloaded to usb, went to machine and it either does not show up at all or it has omitted first 6 steps in stitch out. i use pes format.

Hi Merikay,

My first guess is that your design has applique in it. You'll need to check that all applique stops are marked as such in the color stop list, and also make sure "remove hidden stitches" is at the correct setting, and then save again.

Hi! I’m running into an issue where a font I’ve used 100 times is adding a bunch of jump stitches and skipping stitches on the stitch file. The working file is perfect, but the stitch file is messed up. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the font with no change. Any ideas what may be happening? I’ve also started over from scratch rather than using the working file and it didn’t fix it.

Chama, Actually, I have one thought. Are you increasing the size of the font? If it's going bigger, that may be why you're getting skips or jumps where there weren't any before.

I suggest contacting Embrilliance support and including attachments of your working and stitch files. Here's the link to their support form:

Does anyone know how to get an iMac using Monterey to recognize a .bx installer file?

Please Login to comment on this post.

Kirsten S.

Patricia, as I understand it, you would first open your Embrilliance program and then drag the .bx file onto the design page screen.

Here's a video explaining installing .bx.

I am having trouble understand the new Go! Accuquilt part of Embrilliance. I have it loaded but cannot find the appliqué files. The files in seem to be in documents as .bd files. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

Patricia, I believe they are going to be found in the library area of the program. Here's a playlist of videos that show using the designs in the software. I hope it's helpful.

I am wanting to make some patches but I am unsure where to find the boarders for these? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kirsten S.

Hi Rebecca,

One place to look for borders is on your embroidery machine. If it has built-in shapes with a satin stitch border, you can use those. The ones on my Brother PE-700 worked okay for that.

Another place is from the applique shapes that are in the Library section of Essentials.

And a third place is the Merrowly patch making addition to the Embrilliance platform:

Yesterday I got lesson 8. Today I got lesson 12. Glitch, or did the webinar count as the other lessons?

I had something similar happen. It's surely a glitch. I'll send you lesson 9. Let me know if you get other ones out of order.

Good Morning, When I try to open a PES design, I get the message Embrilliance Thumbnailer cannot open files in the "Embroidery File" format. I have a MacBook Pro. Thank you.

Please Login to comment on this post.

Kirsten S.

Hi Corinne,

Do you have Essentials? It is true that Thumbnailer cannot open embroidery files; the only job Thumbnailer can do is help you see what they look like before opening -- so you can view your designs all in the folder.

So if you have Essentials, that's what you'll need to use to open the designs.

Here's Embrilliance's support page, so you can ask them for help, too: https://embrilliance.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests...

Hi, the pdf file for the Embrilliance is over 250 pages. Is a hard copy available for purchase

Please Login to comment on this post.

Kirsten S.

Hi Gloria,

It sure is a big manual. There isn't a hard copy for purchase from Embrilliance directly, but it is possible to send the pdf to your local copy store and have it printed in black and white; that would cost around $10 or $ 20.00, I've printed at AlphaGraphics and FedExKinkos that way.

I see there are also some copies of the manual printed available on Ebay. If you go that route, inspect them to see that they're really what you want. There's a 63 page one for just Essentials, and the full manual one I found is from 2017; some changes have happened since then.

Hi I’m a complete beginner to embroidery and have just purchased the embrilliance essentials software to go with my brother m230e machine, I have a Mac book air laptop and have downloaded the software, I’m trying to open my business logo onto it which is saved on my laptop as a PNG and also have it as a JPEG but can’t transfer them to the software .I can see them when I press open but they’re not selectable. I downloaded a free PEC picture off an embroidery website and can open that but not my own pictures or logo, can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong please? I want to add my logo to the software so I can transfer to my embroidery machine. Thanks

Please Login to comment on this post.

Kirsten S.

Hi Beth, embroidery software needs embroidery formats to open. PNG and JPG are picture formats. It is a complicated process to create stitch information, and we call that embroidery digitizing. the embrilliance software to use to do that would be embrilliance Stiitch Artist. That can open your image files and allow you to learn how to apply stitches to it, and create an embroidery format file.

The quicker option is to hire ab embroidery digitizer who is already well versed in the process to digitize your logo for you.

Erin L.

Hi there. I realized I could t save because I was in the demo version. I purchased Essentials and added my serial number so all set ther. I am able to save now (I use the save as stitch and working copy) in the PES format for my machine. I see it on my thumb drive through my computer but my machine (PE800) is not recognizing it on the USB drive. Any ideas? Thanks so much.

Kirsten S.

Hi Erin!

I'm glad you're getting started. My first thought when designs don't show up on a USB drive on the machine is that perhaps the design is too large. My machine can do 5"x7" designs. If a design is rotated so as to be 7"x5", or if it is 5.03" x 7" it will be too big for the machine to read.
My second thought is the size of the USB drive. Some of the machines have a really hard time with large capacity USB drives, and you see better success removing all the data from those big USBs except the one design, or else by using a USB that only has 1or 2MB of storage space to begin with. It's my understanding that the machines are able to access the smaller file structure of a lower capacity USB more easily.

I am a beginner. I have purchased Embrilliance Essentials and Thumbnailer a couple days ago. I CAN see my designs with Thumbnailer but I can't see all of them? It may be from when I downloaded from 3 years ago? .....I have lots to learn on my fairly new MAC (creating folders etc) I am learning fast. I have signed up for the daily email lessons. I can t find the manual (pdf) in the "help" section or the Essentials section? What am I doing wrong? I also have just purchased a Janome 550E for my embroidery designs. I have watched MANY since my purchase!!! Look forward to learning a lot.Thank you.:)

Hi Karla,

Welcome aboard. I hope you love it as you learn.

Here's a link to the pdf manual for Mac:
https://www.embrilliance.com/emb_downloads/pdf/117...
And here's the page where you can find it, and related downloads: https://embrilliance.com/downloads

I'm afraid I'm not much help on Thumbailer on a Mac; I can suggest that you make sure Thumbnailer is set to view all embroidery formats -- in case the ones you downloaded 3 years ago were in a different format. Here's how to do that:

Thank you so much!!! You are a Rockstar . I work full time but I M EXCITED to start this journey. So far I think everything is working. I guess was just looking for a true manual, but it is.. really ...just in a different format/layout....awesome. Blessings. KB

Hello there, I reasently purchased Embroidery Machine. I am a complite new begginer. So that, I wanted to ask if anyone can tell me with what to start. I wathed some videos on Youtube but they aren't helpful.

Please Login to comment on this post.

Kirsten S.

Hi Mary,

This is a forum for Embrilliance Essentials embroidery software, which is a computer program used to help us in our embroidery. If you have got the Embrilliance program, and would like help in learning to use it, I suggest you sign up for our Embilliance Essentials software learning program. It sends you an email every day and walks you through the manual with relevant video to watch for each subject. Here's the link to sign up. https://www.embroidery.com/Learn-Embrilliance

If you don't have the software, and instead want instructions for how to get started using your embroidery machine, I can tell you that you're going to need 40 wt embroidery thread, some ball point and sharp needles to fit your machine, and stabilizer. Start with a medium weight cut away and a medium weight tear away, and you can branch out from there as needed.

To learn to use your machine, the manual will be very helpful, and there are also many YouTube videos for using each different embroidery machine. To get help specific to your machine, it will be helpful to let us know which machine you have. We have forums for embroidery machines here: https://www.embroidery.com/Embroidery-Machines

Can someone help me with a font problem? MOST of my fonts that I have show this line ( sometimes in the middle of a letter) and when I go to sew on the Brother SE1900 it stitches this line. At the beginning of this line the needle secures the stitch making it hard to remove. I have no idea what this line is called and have gone through the Essentials settings to see if I could stop it from happening but with no luck. I am enclosing a picture with arrows pointing at some of the lines. Any help is appreciated

Hi Douglas,

This looks like the machine is planting a stitch in the center of the design. This might not be Essentials; it might be your machine. I might check the trim settings on the machine; and watch out for something called a centering stich. I don't know this machine well enough to tell you where to find those settings. Jump settings are another thing to look at.
Are you using BX fonts, or are you opening letters one at a time from stitch format (PES) files?

Individual stitches can be removed and altered using Enthusiast. You can also use the Sewing Simulator to cull stitches by creating stops at either side and then deleting the color.

Both have updates available. To get them, you go to Embrilliance's download page and re-download the installations. You don't need to un-install the previous version.

trying to save and states some elements might be in demo and will not let me save

Please Login to comment on this post.

Heather B.

Hi, Nannette. Do you have the demo version? If so, please be aware that that is how the demo version works-- it allows you to do things in the software but not to save files. You would need to purchase and add a serial number in order to be able to save file(s).

Otherwise, please clarify.
