As you may know, in "real life" I am a high school teacher, and as such, I have seen what is encountered when a locker is opened! Trust me when I tell you, an organizer would be a good thing! Inspired by those lockers, I have designed this back-to-school set for the 6x10 hoop.
The set consists of a memo board/organizer (finished size 10 1/8"x11 1/4" excluding flowers) featuring a dry-erase write-on surface, cork note section, and 3 elastic-edged pockets, as well as a 3-piece zippered bag set, appropriately labeled as "My Stuff" (7 3/4"x4 3/4"), "More Stuff" (5 3/4"x3 3/4"), and "Small Stuff" (4x2 3/4").
The bags are lined and are done completely in the hoop, including the zippers. The board is constructed entirely in the hoop with the exception of the elastic edge stitching, which is done ahead of time using traditional sewing. The board is finished front and back and features a stiff inner lining for stability and optional flower embellishments. With the addition of tying on a sponge for erasing and gluing on magnets (or attaching eyelets for hanging), it will be ready to use. So if you're sending someone off to school in the fall who will have a locker or if you have an area in your own life which could use some organizing, this set's for you!
