You can really use any brand. DMC works well as does any of the Hand Dyed Floss. However I love using the Valdani 3ply Balls. In most punch needle patterns it is recommended that you use 3 stands. So they are perfect for punch needles. And you can just work right off the ball instead of having to cut it into long lengths.
