The 32 spool sets are the most economical way to purchase thread other than buying the entire 300 spool set.
Most of the colors, except the five most popular, do not overlap between the categories:
Seasons, Essentials, and Brother Match. Here is a comparison chart: https://images.embroidery.com/
The Modular displays are intended for commercial retailers since they store each color of thread on a slider (5 spools deep). An embroiderer could use the cabinet to store 210 spools (42 x 5), but would have difficulty locating a specific color that is stacked out of view.
The most efficient solution is the "Color Box" collection. They fit conveniently on a bookshelf.

hi I want to collect all 300 colors and I already have the summer season set. I’m trying to figure out if I should just keep buying the 32 sets and then two empty wooden displays or buy two display sets then the rest of the colors gradually open stock? I don’t have room for more than two displays. Also if I buy 2 display sets will I end up with duplicate colors since I’ve already got the summer set
