There I was, two babies 10 1/2 months apart and exhausted all the time, thrilled to get both down for a nap at the same time, and then...the doorbell would ring! And then, almost as a miracle, a kind lady gave me a small counted cross stitch pillow as a gift to hang on my door indicating that my "bundles of joy" were napping, and it was truly a life-saver!
That special memory started me on this set with the "Baby's Sleeping" hanger, and then came the bibs, the keepsake birth announcements, and, of course, the gift card holder. All in all, this set provides lots of opportunities to celebrate one of life's greatest events, all in the hoop!
The bibs come in 2 sizes and 2 styles, one more "girlish," the smaller (birth to 3 months) requiring a 7" hoop and the larger (up to 6 months) an 8" hoop. All of them feature heirloom decorative stitching and placement markings to add the optional included sayings "I Love Mommy," "I Love Daddy," "I Love Grandma," or "I Love Grandpa.. The bibs are designed with eyelets to use coil shoelaces or removable ribbon ties. They are done with flannel fabric on the back to provide absorbency and still allow for fun fabrics on the front.
The keepsake birth announcements require a 6" hoop and also come in 2 styles, one more girlish, and feature eyelets for hanging and lettering for the baby's name, date of birth, height, weight, and the sentiment "Welcome to our world." The statistics for the baby would then be written onto the announcement with a fabric pen.
The gift card holder requires a 5" hoop and features a back pocket for the gift card, attached ribbon ties, and the sentiment "Just for Baby." And finally, the infamous hanger requires a 6" x 10" hoop and features eyelets for hanging with coiled wire, as shown in the sample, or with ribbon or cord. Both the birth announcements and the hanger have a thick fleece inner batting and heavy interfacing to create sturdiness.
So if you have been caught empty-handed and without an idea for a new mom, let this set come to your rescue and the mom's rescue too!
P.S. Those babies from my story?? Now ages 24 and 25 and I'm not sure where the years went!!
