Lace Embellished Jacket

Go from drab to fab, and give even a well-worn jacket vintage appeal by dressing it up with embroidered lace. This project uses lace designs from one of Adorable Ideas' Mesiano Lace packs.

1:

Start with a denim jacket. In order to use large designs, look for one with a one-piece back without seams.

Select the lace designs for the look you desire. In our example, Vintage Lace designs 36 (ASPM053) and 37 (ASPM057) from Mesiano Lace vol. 4 were used. Both designs require that you have either a large sewing area or design splitting capabilities.

Embroider on denim with either a light tearaway backing or no stabilizer at all.

Our example uses tone-on tone colors; you may wish to contrast your thread color and jacket color. Either way, you've got glam!
