Fringing

Fringing:

Fringing gives your designs dimension and a definite feeling of fun! Here's how to embroider your own fringed items:

1. Embroider any design that uses the fringing technique, start to finish.
2. When embroidery is complete, remove from hoop. Turn over the embroidered item and cut the bobbin stitches in the fringed area (this should appear to be a column of even bobbin stitches). Use a small pair of sharp, curved blade scissors for cutting.
3. Turn the embroidered item back over and pull out fringed stitches.
4. Fluff and/or trim as desired.
5. Enjoy!
