How to Chenille with Annika's Throw Pillows
In this video, Lauri teaches you how to do chenille on Annika's Throw Pillows
You will need:
Medium Cut-Away stabilizer
Low-loft Batting such as Kimberbell's Project Batting
Annika's Throw Pillow Design CD
The scissors Lauri uses are from Kimberbell's Deluxe Scissor Set
Using Chenille with these pillows:
- Make the nap of all your pieces go the same direction, whichever direction you choose.
- Choose solids with chenille.
- Cut around the basting stitch, but don't cut it off.
- Pick out the basting stitch.
- Cut down the middle of the three top layers of the applique.
- Spritz water on your cut dots.
- Rub at an angle, in circles with a nail file.
- A lint roller or leftover fusibles can help clean up the chenille.
