I just created this in StitchArtist, by following along with Brian's lesson 1.  I first used a background image and made objects over it and filled them. I even used a "create" hole for the arrow in the middle, then filled that hole with a satin column. At the end, I used the magic wand to make the square satin border.  I need practice to do it smoothly, but I'm thrilled that I can do this much useful work just from following a tutorial!
