I don't have one of these, but from what I have read, error #5 can be fixed with a thorough cleaning. Here are the details: https://www.fixya.com/support/t26900919-get_error_...

need to know what formats I can use for this machine
Kirsten's absolutely right, Dianne.
Your Singer's "home" format is .xxx, so if you want to try one format first, I'd say go for that one! Your machine will also read the other formats Kirsten mentioned, including .fhe, .che, .psw, .pec, .pes, .hus, so if a design doesn't have the .xxx format listed, you can always go for one of those other formats.

The company says the machine recognizes "most" embroidery formats -- 14, including .xxx, .fhe, .che, .psw, .pec, .pes, .hus.

have an error message #5. Did what the manual said. Is this a computer error or a sewing area error? How to fix it. Is nearly impossible to find someone to work on embroidery machines?
